What is wrong with your existing tank. I just finished helping the welding shop owner next door repair the tank in his Model A. 20 years ago he had the tank sealed with a rubberized poor in solution due to pinhole leaks throughout the bottom of the tank. He poured in vinegar two assist in the removal of old gas that has been sitting in there for a couple of years. The vinegar eat through one of the aluminum pop rivets that holds the threaded fitting for the output spigot. Removed all the old rubber compound to allow for welding in the fitting again. Reapplied the rubber compound and welded the top back on the tank. Tank is good as new. The original rubber compound was purchased from Boeing. Apparently they use it to coat the airplane fuel tanks. This time we just got it out of our local auto supply store.

An '80 or newer J-truck has a plastic tank. I expect the '85-on is too. There is no new exact replacement available for these trucks, AFAIK. MTS says their tank can be made to work for '80-84, but no mention of '85 or later. http://www.mtscompany.com/J-truck.htm

Used, maybe. Jake's full size Jeep junkyard is in NC. PM member Tanker. Post in the WTB forums here and at IFSJA. Check car-part.com for one in a junkyard near you.
