My hoses should reach, right? Radiator just came in today so I haven't had time to check but, I want to know if any of you guys have any input. Do I need different hoses or will my new-ish stock hoses work? If I need different hoses, do you have the part numbers for them? Also, I have a T18, so don't need a trans cooler. Can I use it for something else? This is for the Sand-colored, off-road monster so oil-cooler probably wouldn't hurt. Will it drain enough to change most of the oil, though? Or would there always be some left? Would air pressure get it out? Just a few questions, to start.
Thanks,
pic of radiator, still in plastic:

The outlets are in the factory-ish locations and your hoses should fit properly. The lower is level whereas most stock lower nipples are tilted upward at about a 40 degree angle. Your lower hose will likely need an angled trim to match up without kinking.
I would suggest you just plug to cooler since the oil is better cooled via the oil pan than from a 180+ degree radiator coil. The other thing to consider is radiators typically don't see more than 14-15 PSI. If your engine and oil pump are healthy it would see 30+ and aluminum only stretches so many times before it fatigues...
Nice shiny Rad by the way

I was just gonna snag a couple NPT plugs from work since they're so cheap.
New problem though. A couple days ago Ryan sent me an email asking for pics, then sent me another asking for it back after I sent him pics. The lower hose connection is the suspect. It is angled in more than I'd like but, since it's located a little farther to the driver's side, I think the hose will clear the fan. What do you guys think? I'd really like to drive this truck that I've been paying insurance on for the last 10 months, without being able to drive it. Plates expired over 4 months ago but, I just re-upped them, yesterday, in anticipation of installing said radiator; and bought $40 worth of antifreeze today. Should be done by now, in fact.
A little hard to tell from the side view but, it is angled slightly upward. The inward angle is the only thing that I can see being a problem. Anyone see a problem here, though? Anyone actually got and installed one of these? Pics of yours, showing bottom outlet, from top or bottom?
If it sounds like I'm getting frustrated, I am. Ordered this thing in June, iirc.

Finally got the radiator back today. Now, the lower outlet is angled up more but, not in, at all. Hope the hose reaches. Gonna try installing it tonight.

Went in easily. Everything lined up nice. On the drive home, I noticed that the temps are a LOT lower than they used to be, as well. May have taken forever to get built right but, it works as advertised! No shroud and the gauge never got out of the white part, just above cold. Just enough to stay warm in the cab, though. Thanks for making sure everything was right, Ryan!

Caspers got a good napa. And they should have a nicer one in stock. Stay away from BWD, Standard, and MrGasket if you can. None of the ones ive seen were accurate temperature wise. Try for an Echlin or AcDelco. But any thermostat in the $10 and up range will be good.
Also stay away from failsafe thermostats. There junk.
