I looked for a post with similar issues but came up short. So forgive me if there is a thread on this already.
Working on my 88 GW when all of a sudden every light on the vehicle went dark. Power windows, locks, wipers, and mirrors all still work. The headlights, tail lights, markers, dome, and factory fog and stopped. I hate to throw parts at it but my gut says headlight switch. Anyone come across an issue like this before?
1980 Cherokee wrangled & mangled
MSD complete system
Eddy intake
Holley 650
Comp cam 270H
4" Rusty's
Ramsey 12K winch
208
Built to drive not sit in the garage.
No longer strangled. I didn't build it for anyone else.
If you can't improve it why waste your time?

I had a very similar issue on my 89 wagoneer. Headlights, tail lights, blinkers, side markers, radio, dash lights, courtesy lights all stopped. It was the fuse-able link on the starter/ignition relay that is in the engine compartment. The relay is bolted to the passengers side wheel well very close to the battery. In fact a battery cable runs to it. From there check all the wires for burn or scorches.
I replaced the green fusible link and all was restored. Good luck
