IIRC the middle port is the vacuum source. Then just plug in the other two into the heater/defroster and test.

Is the middle the source? Can anyone verify?

Yes, Blake is correct. You can confirm the other two by testing before putting the cluster back in. I've had to test so many times I finally put testors model paint on the hoses and valve to save time and hassle. I believe that some of the valves were marked F V and D for floor, Vacuum and Defrost near the nipples. Most I've seen aren't marked however.

FYI: You can in fact disassemble the valve for cleaning and lubrication :)

Tats, I think you should do a step by step how to on disassembling the valve for cleaning and lubing. Wasn't aware they could be taken apart.

I also used testors model paint to mark the hoses and nipples they go to. Great minds think alike.

the OEM hoses are color coded , the red is the center one, or 12 o'clock, the white is 11, and the green is 1 o'clock.

I didn't take photos when I pulled maintenance on mine unfortunately. I removed the valve and took it apart by removing three screws, cleaned the housing with a small brush and brake cleaner and used WD-40 to clean the rubber gasket. I used Vaseline to lubricate the rubber gasket before re-assembly. During testing I noticed the vacuum motors didn't just thump, they SLAMMED :)
