The new fram didn't have one. It has what looks like a rubber diaphragm (?) Inside which I guess is supposed to serve the same purpose? Their base cheapy filter and the one up from that that I bought both had this reddish-orange diaphragm. The one I bought has a slightly thicker one. It's the XG16 as opposed to the PH16 cheap one.
It went right on so the thread is right. Yea!
It fired up and no tick beyond what I think is a small exhaust leak. I have it idling and getting to operating temp and bleeding the antifreeze I just added. I'll know more tomorrow when it's a cold start.
