Th400 dipstick tube hold down method

Post by mjdriver »

My j2000 is missing the hold down for the dipstick tube, if anyone has a pic of how its held down and where from would be great. I can see if i could make something up.

tough to take a pict, it is a bit oily, I was crawling doing some leak survey, and could not see it. The clamp is below the passenger cylinder head and above the trans hump.

Looking in the parts catalog, the clamp is part of the dipstick tube J536 1276 for the V8 and TF 727, I suspect that the the TH400 has the same layout

check ebay item, it is supposed to fit TH400...

EDIT: found a spare for a TH350 and the clamp is a rolled piece of metal that snaps onto the dipstick tube, check "spectre 5472" the pictures are not clear but you get the idea
