What would cause the blower motor resistor to fail? I installed a new one and it failed in 3 days. I put a jumper wire in and the motor turns fine. I checked the volts with the blower running and only had 10 volts.
Generally speaking if the resistor fails by burning thru the resistor coil that indicates too much amperage load from the motor/circuit/connector,also have seen resistor fail when their not in some kind of air flow to cool them down, also bad or no grounds can really create head scratching problems
