I am getting familiar with my new Grand Wagoneer discovering all sorts of interesting things. As I was trying to repair my washer fluid nozzle I came across this tube. What should this be attached to?
I connected it to the back of the air intake where the two nipples sticking out now my cruise control works but my engine seems to run hesitant and a bit choppy

This is the thermo-switch for better word -EGR TVS in the diagram below- that control the EGR, ON or OFF depending on temperature in the air cleaner
