Should this be attached to something

Post by Jasonjoli »

I am getting familiar with my new Grand Wagoneer discovering all sorts of interesting things. As I was trying to repair my washer fluid nozzle I came across this tube. What should this be attached to?Image

Looks kinda like the vacuum fitting for your 4wd. Does you waggy shift into 4x4 and the front axle engage?

Moving this to FSJ Tech, as this is not a build thread.

The light comes on when I switch it to 4wd, but it is right below one of those plastic balls, so you are probably right. I am still learning

I connected it to the back of the air intake where the two nipples sticking out now my cruise control works but my engine seems to run hesitant and a bit choppy

This is the thermo-switch for better word -EGR TVS in the diagram below- that control the EGR, ON or OFF depending on temperature in the air cleaner

If you don't have the TSM, it will help you a lot. http://www.bjsoffroad.com/1989-Jeep-Fac ... _1059.html

Not the Haynes manual, the TSM. It's probably available for much less on CD-ROM somewhere if you search.
