First time poster.
Please school me on posting etiquette if necessary.
I am the proud new owner of an almost entirely stock 66 wagoneer that has been parked since 82.
The engine is a 327 vigilante v8 2 barrel.
The carb was rebuilt (sticker on it says so) but I don’t know if it is stock. That’s not the most important part as much as ensuring I know what I have so I can clean / refurb it.
I didn’t want to take the carb off so early in my explore under the hood process but something broke...
I have two questions. How do I identify the refurb kit for the carb.
What is the thing that broke and how do I replace it.
The carb:
Carb numbers: R 3262-1A, 3181449
according to the service manual the original was Holley model 2209, the list numbers seem to indicate this is, in fact, a 2209.
But. R3262-1A is not listed on the Holley list (
https://documents.holley.com/techlibrar ... isting.pdf )
for finding a rebuild kit.
The thing that broke:
Is a threaded hole on the plate between the carb and intake manifold.
The Jeep:
The carb:
The plate (the lower left half had a hose valve screwed in that broke):
Any help greatly appreciated. I don’t know what I am doing but I am bound and determined to learn.
