Hey guys,
I"m new to this board and only posted a couple of times, both having to do with a J10--258 and its BBD carb. Many thanks to all who responded with helpful suggestions and assistance in rebuilding the carb. And special thanks to "1979BettyWhite" who sent me a manual and numerous direct emails to help me troubleshoot the problems. Turned out though it wasn't the carb--I discovered the timing was about 10 degrees after dead center. Retiming it to 8 degrees BTDC made this thing run like a real champ!
