ignition problems, not starting

jeep not starting and getting spark
Proform Distributor HEI connected to the "orange wire"
New spark plugs
New ignition module
Spark plugs wires not the issue
starts when distributor is connected directly to the battery
for some reason when hooked up to the "orange wire" (accessory on) will not start.
it used to work fine, now its not.

The duraspark box should have had a 12g red wire going to it that was setup for power when in the run position. This is the wire I use when converting a duraspark FSJ to HEI.

Typically ACC power is cut when starting so that all available current can be used for starting. This is why the radio will stop playing for instance when you go to start.
