What is this thing under the hood?
Forgive my ignorance here. I've figured out the 5 port vacuum thingamajig is the dual CTO. What is the rusty looking thing in front of the it with a single nipple that the CTO is connected to? Is that the EGR?

The item with the vacuum line closest to your finger is indeed the EGR valve.

Cool thanks. Couldn't really tell its so ugly. Wonder if it's worth replacing. It seems to be the only thing even hooked up to the CTO at the moment.

Unless the diaphragm is torn (which would result in a vacuum leak), I would leave it be.

The TSM should have a way to test it. I see some dirt ... looks fine otherwise. They aren't made to be pretty.
