DIY windshield removal

Post by Hendo2.5 »

Does anyone know of a good step by step guide to removing and installing the windshield and rear window? I want to paint my cab and can’t get it to a glass place. Thanks

This will show you the replacement side and pay close attention to the weed eater line portion as that will literally save you hours.

No but removal's pretty easy. Carefully remove the trim so as not to bend it. This will uncover a seam. I used a bent wire in that seam to pry the locking strip outward. Then the glass can come out. The windshield comes out of the gasket first. There's a very recent thread with a video of the install. Can't remember who posted it.

How I did it:

The quarter windows come out by pushing the bottom out and working the gasket over the flange. Gasket and glass come out together. Flange is only on the top, front and rear.

Didn't get any picher of that.
