Carrier breaks

Post by Phils67 »

Back on my J20 rear axle build again and finally decided to keep my 4.27 front gears and buy 4.30 rear gears for the D60. Everything I look up says 4.10 and down or 4.56 and up. Where does 4.30 fall into that? Would I need the numerically higher or lower carrier?

Since that's a very uncommon gear you may have to call Dr Diff or Strange and ask them.

Been doing some digging online. Apparently the 4.30 gears are available thick cut using a 4.10 down carrier. Also available standard and reverse rotation. So looks like I have to get thick cut standard rotation gears with a numerically lower carrier/locker
