If i cut the frame in half to removerust will the frame shift

As the title says.. the frame on my Jeep where the shock and engine mount are.. is realllly bad rust wise.. so bad its gotten thin and cracked on both sides of the shick and engine mount on the drivers side.. and rusted a big hole on the passenger side.

Thankfully the cracks only go up hakf an inch into a favtory hole so its like you would do to cracks and drill em out.

There isa 88 inam the jy thats got a really good frame..

I live ina townhouse and dont have the funds or means to store a frame and replace it so ive had to cut out sections and replace them.

I want to remove the shock mount and engine mount ( supporting the engine with some wide wood and a jack on the oil pan ?

And then cut the frame out on both sides.. or at least cut out the front plates of the frame leaving the top on... Would the frame shift if i do this ? I know it wont shift cutting out half of the boxed in frame.. but i need to replace the whole box..

So im not sure how to go about doing this...

Any advice would be appritiated.. i need to fix this i cant keep the frame in this condition its that bad.

Weld on outriggers to hold the rest of the frame in alignment before you cut out the rusty section. If you just cut it out, it will move. Not good.

Well what if i just cut out one side at a time ?. like cut out the outside by the shock mount weld in the donor peice.. then cut the side by the engine mount and weld that in

If you aren't cutting that section in half, then it should be ok. But if you are replacing an entire piece at one time, you will have to weld on some supports to keep things in position.

Okay. Ill just one half at time then.. Maybe when i cut the outside iff and get a better look imside it wont be (as bad) abd i can just knock off the flakey stuff.. cut the crack off and weld s little peice on it and paint it all with rust reformer and weld the donor peice on and be done
