Hey all, I'm trying to get my 83 chief up and running and noticed that rats have chewed the wires connected to the throttle position sensor. can this be deleted or do I need to replace it? if it needs replaced, where do I find one? just a note... the wires aren't serviceable. Thanks!
There is no throttle position sensor on an FSJ; unless it was added for an overdrive transmission swap?

Sometimes they are used to stop dieseling at shut down, and sometimes to boost idle when the AC is on.
It would help to read the factory manual. '82 TSM is online at www.oljeep.com - it will be pretty close to what you have on an '83. There is a supplement for '83 to the the '82 TSM. These books are available inexpensively on CD-ROM from RockAuto.
