J20 rear brakes question.

Post by Phils67 »

I know it is a long shot but i am building a 1980 J20 rear with 12x2.5 brakes and started with a donor that had nothing but backing plates. Does anyone have a pic of how it looks?

This is an '82 - should be the same. Right rear, front to the right.

Where did you get all the parts? Im lacking the longer arm for the self adjuster and the bar between the shoes

They came with the truck. No aftermarket source, AFAIK. You could try the FSJ junkyards.

Brakes on this '70 K-10 Chevy look the same. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/show ... ?p=5167342 If you look earlier in the thread, the axles are from a 1988 C3500. Pretty sure these and the 6-lug Wagoneer brakes are Delco. You may be able to pick the parts you need from a GM truck.
