Ok, yep, my bad!
I took a hard look at the pic again and thought about it for a minute.
You do have your shim set to lower the pinion and give positive caster.

Im glad you mentioned those preload shims earlier. Got me thinking about it. Did some homework. Found that closed knuckles are notorious for death wobble if the preload isnt correct. I may have set the preload properly but it was set properly for a stock setup. Im pulling shims in about an hour when the sun comes up and tightening up those kingpins. I'll post the results

Removed all the preload shims. Didn't make it half a mile before I hit a bump and it started. Continued digging and found the source. The suspension moves side to side and also the whole frame tweaks allowing the steering box to actually move despite the 1/2" thick reinforcing plate i welded on. With that said it explains why the frame cracked a few months ago where the box mounts. I am going to order a steering box brace and try to source new bushings for the front suspension. Its just weird they move that much being they don't have many miles on them. Updates will come soon

I was hoping you didn't have a bearing race fully seated when you set up the preload so it loosened up. Guess not.

Don't forget to put the shims back lest you wear out the bearings.

Did you hook up a camera or something? I have used my go pro to watch the steering as I drive. Can be super handy.

Normally leaf spring setups don’t go sideways as they travel up. But I can see that causing a lot of stress on things.

I dont have a gopro. My wife shook the steering wheel and i watched the springs twist side to side. Also found the steering box moving side to side. The frame cracked again at the box mount. If i knew how to upload videos i would show you

Can’t upload videos directly here. Have to throw it on YouTube or similar.
