Paint and trim codes?

Post by 66stepside »

I’m pretty sure the firewall tag paint code for Spruce tip green is 225 for the Kaiser era jeeps.

Is this correct?

Also, does anyone know the interior trim code for black? It’s also for the firewall tag.

Thanks!

It's probably in the parts book for '62-73 J-Series at www.oljeep.com

Here’s the site I usually use:

http://paintref.com/cgi-bin/colorcodedi ... 966&con=oy

It does show code 21, and it isn’t listed in my factory manual.

I’m looking for confirmation by someone who has the firewall tag still on their Jeep with a black interior.

The FSM typically shows the paint codes but not the trim codes. The parts book should have both.

Paint and trim codes?

Yep.

If anyone has a black interior to verify the trim code on the firewall, that’d be great.

Standard bench seat for 66.

It’s not a common interior color. I’ve only seen it in one wagoneer from the early 60’s. It was a bit more common in the 1970-1972 era.

I can list black trim codes from that era all day long, 65, 68, etc...
Do you have one that's unreadable ?
Examples: 63 bench seat, vinyl T-223
65 bench seat, vinyl T-231
65 bench seat, vinyl/cloth T-234

My tag is missing.

I’ve got a call into Wagonmaster to double check the tag for black.

In your best opinion which is the correct code?
