Turn signal dilemma

Post by dodgerammit »

So, For a while, I've not had rear signals on Radio Flyer.

Now, for the interesting part:

Front signals work
Front markers work
Rear markers work
Tail lights work
Brake lights work

These only have the one circuit/bulb for stop and turn like many other 80s American vehicles, so that usually means the t/s switch sends split power to front signals as well as rear signal/brakes.

Is this a common issue?

Where would you recommend checking first?

I'm thinking testing for power at the connector at the steering column.

Check that all of the grounds are clean. Bad grounds do weird things to the lights.

X2 on grounds. Since it's an 84, the brake lights flash with the turn signals. A bad ground could cause crazy things to happen.
