I'm taking my front axel apart for the first time and am hoping someone can tell me what socket I need to get the lock nut off? I've attached a picture of it. It doesn't look like the lock nuts I see when I google it and the guy at the parts store didn't seem to know. Thanks

Hit it with some spray cleaner.
There are very small allen head screws locking the outer though a special washer to the inner nut.
Don't hammer on it.....
When i google round pin socket nothing comes up with the same pattern on it. They all have 4 pins equally spaced around the socket. Does anyone have a picture of what it looks like? thanks
Clean the grease out the holes in the lock nut. There will be Allen screws in the larger holes. Remove them and the nut will come off with your fingers.

When I was working at the Jeep dealer, there was a customer that wanted the torque specs for the axle nuts so he could repack the front wheel bearings. The mechanic laughed and said "tight enough, but not too tight." If you can shake the wheel and feel movement in the bearing it's too loose. The wheel drag will increase if it's too tight. Not difficult to get it in range.
The Haynes or Chiltons manual may cover it. The TSM may not, because it expects a higher level of experience.
Warn probably had a socket for those nuts that fit in the two holes without screws. Unlikely you'll find one today. If you worry, you can grind down another socket to fit the holes in the nut. You don't need much more than finger tight, if that.
