Front Seatbelt Mounting Point 75 Wagoneer

Post by rirealtor »

In process of converting the lap belts to shoulder and Question on the fronts for mounting points- Does the upper buckle point utilize the "hidden bolt hole" behind headliner approx. 1/3 back in rear door OR is there another hidden hole in the pillar? Looks like the later models put them in the pillar, next to seat, but my 75 has the two high mounted bolt holes under headliner.
Same goes for retractor point- this needs to be vertical and I'm not sure if there is another mounting point down low, just whats in the floor.
Finally- any input on length, shoulder loop extension and sleeve greatly appreciated.

you need to create your own anchor point on the pillar, remove headliner, drill hole in pillar and slide the appropriate hardware to hold the seat belt bolt...

Honestly, I did not modify mine, it is OK, it is not a race car

I haven't done this but was checking this site out for parts: https://www.julianos.com/Articles.asp?ID=143
They also have some installation tips.

I'll get you a pic of my '77 pillar in the next day or two - when I'm not contending with bad weather or darkness.

This is a '77 J10 - likely not much help for a Wagoneer.
