the amber turn signals under the headlight on my Jeep were cloudy.dingy and the inside housing reflector material was gone and not shiny..
so i bought two new housings from crown on amazon. they look super nice and are shiny came with new bulbs and so forth.
i cleaned the connectors as they were heavily corroded.. i took the wire.plug out of the plastic plug to physically scrub them and use brake clean. then poped em back in the plug.
used dielectric grease and plugged the new housings in but the lights stay solid they dont blink. i swapped the bulbs and same thing. So i plugged my old housing back in and now they work. So i had to twist the old wire.plug out of the housing and put them in my new housings. not really a big deal i guess
they work now but i dont really like that i cant use the new clean wire.plugs.. . Did crown maybe reverse the ground on the 3 prong plug ? im not sure why they blink with the old wiring but stay solid on the new??

A steady lamp means there is not a good enough path for the current to reach ground, which will heat up the T/S relay and cause it to begin flashing. Most likely crown assumed there would be a dedicated ground wire to the body. Makes sense since the gasket is an insulator.

So should I just toss the harness supplied by crown and continue using the old one ? It just sucks, you pay that money and cant use the fresh clean wiring...
Im still confused though on what your talkin about because the harness/plug where the bulb goes that twists into the housing look identical to me

crown stuff is pretty low quality, did you see if
it's wired wrong.
OE wiring is probably better anyway.
The china wiring I've seen for lighting is uber low quality!!
junk low temp insulation & thin copper strands.
