1981 Cherokee radio parts question

Anyone ever seen parts like these? I thought I was pulling a/c control stuff. Seems like an amp and a fader control with some sort of light next to the fader knob. News to me. Any help or ideas appreciated.

I found a few of these in the 89-90 Jeeps. I recall it was a Jensen factory equipment option.

My 1981 is all pre-wired for it.

yeah it was a factory upgraded amp. WILL E had one too. I still owe you the radio..

Yup. My 81 wagoneer has that too. If functional, when pulled out it activates the amp and gives you ability to fade front to rear. You can tell the difference when it's on. It's still 80s radio tech, but better with the amp than without it
