Filler neck tubes

Post by v8vendetta »

So I need new filler neck tubes. The one going to the tank is straight and should be an easy replacement. However, the one going to the actual fill port is also cracked, but BJ's stocks multiple shapes and styles. Could you guys identify what kind I need to get? I have pictures of the tubes, and the fill port has six or eight bolts going around the tube. Pictures are attached below.

KIT-7560 is what I used on my 77. Not finding that exact part number on BJ's website now, though. Might want to give them a call.

'76 J20. Jeep PN 5350696

According to the book, it's a single year for that number. It's the same shape for '74-79, but detailes change. I expect the main differences will be whether it has a rubber flange on the filler end, or whether it uses a band clamp to attach to the filler neck. The numbers "evolved" for '77, but the part for '77 may work.

AFAIK MTS is the source for all these fuel tank parts, and they show some good pictures on their site: http://www.mtscompany.com/J-truck.htm Look at the JPFH numbers for the '62-77 tanks, and match what you have now. You can buy direct from MTS, or they will refer you to their retailers.

I bought a 3' stick of straight hose of the right size for my '77 on close-out from RockAuto, and I'd be willing to sell some of it if you need some; say, $1 per inch plus the ride.

I can pickup hose at my local NAPA for cheap. Thanks for the site! I think that is the info I needed.

You must have some awesome parts store! I was fortunate that I caught the hose on close-out.
