Proportioning valve distress

Post by az chip »

My valve is very crusty and I don't trust it. So I got a new one from inline tube. I cannot tell how this valve resets or even moves! And it's freaking new. Any help much appreciated.

The reset is the pin in the last photo. Loosen the outer nut and hold down pin while bleeding. There is a tool available or you can make one. It holds the pin down while you bleed. It is held in place by the valve mounting bolts. Tool fits many models and makes.
