removing the fuel bezel

Post by TeaBag »

Has anyone got any tips for removing the black plastic fuel bezel from the rear quarter panel? It appears to be riveted when you look at it from the back, however, there are no rivets in the front?

Mine was just screwed on. Can you take a picture of it from the outside?

The rivets are from the metal section it sits in.

The metal flange is attached to the fill tube and is in front of the plastic bezel. You have to disconnect the rubber hoses from beneath and pull out the whole fill tube.

Got it out. That was a bigger project than I thought. The rivets are hidden under the plastic bezel and the bezel was really stuck on. I had to cut the rivets from the back, remove the entire assembly and pry the bezel off. -Thanks!
