Did the 81 cherk have a 4 wheel drive light? I have a boss in the np208, a orange wire at the case. And a hole in the 208. Seems right to me. What do you think?

I can say my '81 J10 does not have a light. It has a T176/208.

my 81 waggy with the stock 208 had a 4 wheel drive light. There is only one electrical connection on the 208 and it is for the indicator light

Yep. I need the part number of that switch. My manual does not show.

AFAIK the NP208 has a light. My '82 has one. The book shows it for all 208s in that year range.
The service manual will not show you part numbers. You need the parts book for that. There is a parts book on the Tom Collins site that covers your year.

I have a old switch that came out of the tc.
What I need in there is this one. The problem is that the screw in base is not big enough in the tc hole.

Found the switch at Jerry's in Globe. Should have gone there first.

No idea. It has the single post for the connector and the same thread size. I will look and try and find them.

Hey-Sorry to hijack the thread. Any idea where the wire comes from for this switch? My 84 was a switch on the TC and there's a bulb for it on the instrument panel but I can't find the connector on my harness (or under the jeep). Are these used on all models? I would think if they made the bulb they would run the wires to it.
Thanks

Mine is a single orange wire running down the left frame rail.
